I never got a chance to pace outside a hospital ward to show my anxiety. Instead kept sitting in a train compartment with my mother on way from Lucknow to Ghaziabad where I have been working for last five years. Poonam had managed to get to the hospital on her own with the help of neighbors. Got the news on phone at Lucknow and started on the next available train.
Ratnesh, my younger brother in law met at the Railway Station with a quick greeting “Ladki hui hai. Dono theek hain” (You have got a daughter…both of them are fine). Anxiety gave way to smiles and hugs and congratulations. Preeti had arrived in our lives to add color and music and sparkle.
