Chai Cricket और गुलज़ार

One of my favourite quotes from a poster is “Smile – it improves your face value” and to get there you need to remember something that I claim to be my very own personal thought – “Don’t make fun… Create fun”
Sweetest sound in the world is your own name. So here I am, relishing the sweet little gift – this website – from my dearest daughter Preeti and Alex, her beloved. This is a platform I can use to share my thoughts, events, ideas and interests with my friends and loved ones.
Shayari
Good poetry and shayari is so enriching and thought provoking. It is truly timeless and precious. Can be soothing and uplifting and relaxing and inspiring at the same time. There is so much to discover and take in… One lifetime is so terribly short. However each day brings new energy new thoughts and new opportunity for discovering or rediscovering something special and precious. Old Bollywood songs form such a wonderful treasure for all situations and ideas. It will be fun to explore and share.
Yaadein
Bachchan ji coined the title for his autobiography – “Kya bhooloon kya yaad karoon” capturing everybody’s dilemma of what to remember and what to forget and what to record and what to share. Perhaps my biggest mistakes are my biggest lessons which I should never forget but do I really need to share them or my embarrassments or disappointments? I think it is best to keep them nicely tucked in my own safe vault. God has been Generous – there are plenty of things to flaunt and share like my daughter completing her Architecture program with a Gold Medal and my son Dr Udit making it to “Marquis Who’s Who of USA”. And ofcourse there are memories of his first 100 steps unaided in a hospital corridor and her sharing of nursery school experience of studying ABC and “head-down” and exploring the secluded Etmad-ud-daula monument at Agra with their future mother much before that and even my own maiden stage appearance when I forgot my lines when I too was a small kid once upon a time.
Musings

Baithe baithe kya karein karna hai kuchh kaam. Besides playing Antyakshari we could think or dream or plan or wonder or read or write.
